  4. a copy of the child's Baptismal certificate (if applicable)
  5. a copy of the report card from the previous school or pre-school

Eligibility For Enrollment

  • Transfer students are welcome at any time.
  • A child must be five years of age by December 1st to be eligible for entrance into Kindergarten. It is advisable that children have pre-school experience before attending kindergarten.
  • A child must be able to understand English.
  • At St. Monica School, the development or behavioral age of the child is a strong factor in considering acceptance. The developmental age is the age at which the child is functioning as a total person: physically, emotionally, intellectually, and socially. Each child is individually assessed. Intellectual development and chronological age are not necessarily guarantees of readiness.
  • A child may not be guaranteed acceptance into St. Monica School if the child is not academically performing at grade level. An assessment for applicants for all grades is required as part of the application process. Children applying for Grades 1-8 may not be accepted if the previous school indicates that there has been a continuing problem in the area of self-control or poor study habits.

Acceptance Policy

  1. Siblings of currently enrolled students
  2. Child is Catholic, and parents are registered parishioners of St. Monica Church
  3. Child is Catholic, and parents are registered in another Catholic parish
  4. Child is not Catholic

Non-discrimination Policy

St. Monica School, mindful of its mission to be witness to the love of Christ for all, admits students of any race, color, and national and/or ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded to or made available to students at this school. St. Monica School does not unlawfully discriminate on the basis of race, color, and national and/or ethnic origin, age, sex, or disability in administration of educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs and athletic and other school-administered programs.
