As has been our tradition, in celebration of mothers in the month of May, our 1st grade class prepared a special Mass to honor Jesus’ mother, Mary. They acted as liturgical ministers, including doing readings, responsorial psalms, and petitions. First graders also collected flowers from all the grades to create a colorful shrine and crown for Mary. Students from each grade were chosen to carry the flowers to the altar and place them by Mary with the crowning of Mary as the highlight. The student body as well as members of the community attended this very special May Crowning of Mary.
